Bill Imada is Founder, Chairman and Chief Collaboration Officer of the IW Group (formerly Imada Wong Communications Group), a full-service communications firm that specializes in the growing multicultural markets in the United States. With more than 20 years of experience in marketing, public relations, advertising and training, Bill and his company represent some of the top global and domestic brands, including American Airlines, Bank of the West, Coca-Cola, Farmers Insurance, Godiva, Kaiser Permanente, McDonald’s, MetLife, Verizon Wireless, Walmart Stores, Walt Disney Imagineering, Warner Bros. Pictures and many others.
Before founding IW Group, Bill served as a human resources manager for a major national subleasing company and worked as an employment recruiter for a small start-up placement agency. Bill is an active speaker and trainer, and developed training programs for companies such as Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., Bank of America, Fidelity Investments, Macy’s, Merrill Lynch, Nike and many others.
Bill is active in the community and devotes a countless number of hours to pro bono services. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Advertising Educational Foundation, Asian Business Association, the California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce, Center for Asian American Media, and the LAGRANT Foundation, and is an advisor to the American Cancer Society, Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund, Asian Professional Exchange, Asian Real Estate Association of America, Asian American Justice Center and National Association of Asian American Professionals. Bill strongly believes that all successful business and civic leaders should be engaged in community service.
Bill is an active blogger and writer. He currently blogs for Advertising Age and has served as a guest writer for magazines and newspapers throughout the country.
Bill also invests in small start-up firms. He recently invested in two online start-
up companies. The first one focuses on crowd-funding for non-profit NGOs/CBOs and is known as We Did It Fundraising. The other offers properties to home buyers online and is called PropFlow.
